Resident Activities are a key focus of the Home, and are organised by the activities co-ordinator.

A weekly list is placed on the residents notice board to show which activity has been arranged each day (dependent on the resident’s choice).

Activities within the Home include:

  • Reminiscence Sessions
  • Knitting and Natter Club
  • Religious Services
  • Visiting Clergy
  • Pampering
  • Poem Reading / Writing
  • Board Games
  • Birthday Parties celebrated
  • Visiting Singers / Entertainers
  • Library Books
  • Hairdresser
  • Flower Arranging
  • Art & Craft
  • Monthly Meetings
  • Seasonal related activities
  • Staff Productions / Plays / Musicals

Outside the Home, trips are arranged (weather depending) to:

  • Aberdare Park
  • Shopping Trips
  • Trips to the Coast
  • Local Theatres
  • Local Pubs or Cafes for Lunch
  • Local Church / Chapel
  • St. Mairs Day Centre

We also have a Smart TV in the main lounge, where we are able to look for a variety of films, television programmes, YouTube videos of their favourite singers / music  etc

WiFi is installed in the Home to enable families to bring in their laptops / tablets to use with their Mums and Dads.
