Dear Mrs E

Many thanks for taking the time to provide us with feedback in respect of the Laurels Care Home. It is as important for us to know about good quality care as it is to be informed of problems encountered. The Laurels has consistently provided a high standard of care to its residents under the leadership of the owner  and the Registered Manager (Julie Ward) and it is encouraging to know how much your mother has benefited from the support provided.

We as a family would like to express our gratitude for all the love and care you showed our mother during her time at the Laurels. This really was her home and you were all her extended family. We knew that she was perfectly happy and contented and exceptionally well cared for. We will always think of you all with affection and know that mam will still be looking down with a smile and that wicked look, telling them in heaven “Ooh! I lived at the Laurels”, in her best posh voice.

Making a decision to move Mam from her home to the Laurels was not easy for my sister and myself but over the months she has been with you, we have seen vast improvements in her health and wellbeing. I have been so impressed by the care, compassion and professionalism displayed by you all and if my mother had to leave her home, then she could not have gone to a better place. Thank you all so much. Have a lovely Xmas

Just a note of thanks to all the wonderful staff at the Laurels, for all you did for Mam. The dignity, care and love you showed her, especially in her last days was exceptional. The Laurels was truly home from home for Mam and she fitted like a glove. She was so very, very happy and we cannot express enough how appreciative we are as a family. Not only will we miss Mam, but we will miss you all too. The pleasure was all ours.

Our family would like to thank you so much for the care and support during my Mother’s time at the Laurels, particularly during her recent illness. We very much appreciated the professional, caring and thoughtfulness of all the staff, ever mindful of my Mother’s dignity and comfort.
